These incidents remind us that this annual endeavor may in fact be a walk in the park — but that does not mean it is free from danger.

My organization in NZ requires a medical check from a GP before someone can proceed to the pack test. Is this the case for other agencies?

US federal employees have a basic yearly employment medical screening as a requirement to participate in the work capacity test. Non-federal US employees have hit and miss medical screening dependent on their agency.
